Gender-Inclusive Housing
Gender-Inclusive Housing
Gender Inclusive Housing allows for students of any gender identity to live together regardless of their biological sex traits or sex assigned at birth. Students who wish to apply and opt in to a gender-inclusive space will have the option to do so as housing contracts become available for the upcoming academic year. Students who wish to live in our traditional, same-gender housing spaces will continue to have that option.
Please note that Gender-Inclusive Housing is based on availability, and placement is not guaranteed. Not receiving a gender-inclusive placement will not be considered a reason for cancelling a housing contract. Students must be at least 18 years of age prior to moving into a gender-inclusive space.
Students who apply for Gender-Inclusive Housing are asked to commit to living in the space for a full academic year, both fall and spring semesters. Students approved may reapply to return to a gender-inclusive space for the following year. Students who move into a gender-inclusive space after the start of the academic year are similarly expected to commit to living in the space through the end of the academic year.
The number of gender-inclusive spaces will be based on the number of students who apply, with the aim of always having full apartments.
