The Annual Student Leader Awards ceremony is more than just an event; it celebrates the vibrant and dynamic spirit that defines our campus. It is a moment to recognize our students' exceptional leadership, innovative programs, and unwavering commitment to our campus. Hosted by the Office of Student Involvement, the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, and the Rutgers University-Camden Student Governing Association, the Annual Student Leader Awards ceremony is an event dedicated to celebrating the outstanding achievements of our student leaders and recognized student organizations.

Each year, this event serves as a cornerstone for acknowledging our student leaders' tireless efforts and remarkable contributions to enrich our campus community. Our student leaders and organizations play a vital role in fostering a diverse and healthy culture at Rutgers University-Camden. Their dedication, passion, and hard work create an inclusive environment that supports personal growth, academic excellence, and community engagement.​​​​​​

Our student organizations are the heartbeat of campus life, providing a platform for students to connect, collaborate, and create lasting impacts. These groups champion various causes, disciplines, identities, and interests, from social justice and sustainability to arts and culture, demonstrating the power of collective action and shared vision.

• Mission Possible Award
  This award recognizes the student organization that stayed true to its mission and brought it to life in impactful, consistent, and inspiring ways. Whether through service, education, advocacy, or community building, this group turned vision into action and proved that with passion and purpose, any mission is possible.
• Heart and Soul Award
  This award honors a student leader who is the heartbeat of their organization — the one who shows up, lifts others up, and leads with authenticity and heart. Their passion and dedication make everyone around them feel seen, valued, and inspired.
• Above and Beyond Award
  For the student or organization that never settles for “just enough.” This award recognizes those who consistently go the extra mile — whether behind the scenes or in the spotlight — to ensure their team, campus, and community thrives.
• Spirit of Resilience Award  
  This award celebrates strength, perseverance, and grace under pressure. Whether overcoming personal, organizational, or campus-wide challenges, this student or organizatoin continued to show up, grow, and lead with determination and hope.
• Bridge Builders Award
  This award is given to an organization or leader that has united different communities, perspectives, or groups through intentional programming and inclusive leadership. They’ve created space for dialogue, connection, and collective progress.
• Small Scale Program of the Year Award
  Proof that big impact doesn’t require a big crowd. This award recognizes a smaller program that made a powerful difference — through creativity, intention, and meaningful engagement with its audience.
• Large Scale Program of the Year Award
  This award recognizes a signature event that didn’t just fill a room — it moved a campus. Whether through celebration, education, or community-building, this program captured attention, sparked conversation, and delivered an unforgettable experience. It exemplified what’s possible when vision, collaboration, and execution come together on a grand scale.
• Advisor of the Year Award
  This award honors a faculty or staff advisor who has gone above and beyond in supporting their student organization. With guidance, patience, and unwavering commitment, this advisor has been a steady presence — empowering student leaders, offering invaluable mentorship, and helping their organization grow, thrive, and reach new heights.
• New Organization of the Year Award
  This one's for the newcomers! Awarded to an emerging student organization that has shown tremendous growth, engagement, and potential in a short period of time. Their momentum and passion are just getting started.
• Organization of the Year Award
  This award honors a student organization that has demonstrated exceptional dedication, programming, and impact throughout the year. With consistent engagement, innovative events, and meaningful outreach, this org has elevated campus life and made a lasting impression on the Rutgers–Camden community.
• Rising Raptor Award
  This award honors an emerging student leader or new organization that’s already soaring. With fresh energy, bold ideas, and strong initiative, this rising Raptor is just getting started — and we can’t wait to see what they do next.
• Lasting Legacy Award
  For the graduating leader who has left their mark on campus life in a profound way. Their leadership, service, and presence have shaped their organization and inspired future generations to continue their work and vision.
• Leaders of Distinction
  Presented to a student leader who has gone above and beyond in their commitment to their organization and peers. Through vision, collaboration, and a dedication to growth, this leader has left an undeniable mark on campus life.
• Student Leader of the Year Award
  This award is presented to an outstanding student who has exemplified excellence in leadership across campus. Through their passion, initiative, and integrity, they’ve uplifted others, sparked change, and embodied what it means to lead with purpose
• Millett Award
  Named in honor of Dean Darrell W. Millett, this award is presented to a student who has demonstrated remarkable leadership and service to the Rutgers–Camden community. They exemplify the values of compassion, dedication, and excellence that this campus holds dear.
