Mission

The mission of the Honors College is to encourage academic achievement, support interdisciplinary study and collaboration, and promote engagement on campus and in the surrounding communities. The Honors College seeks to foster a diverse community and a sense of belonging, and invites students to pursue their goals in meaningful, intentional, and impactful ways.

Objectives

The objectives of the Honors College are to:

Identify and enroll students who are committed to having a holistic educational experience made possible through the resources offered at Rutgers-Camden

Develop an intentional program model that supports collaboration and connection through diverse seminar courses, compatible peer mentorship, and tailored academic advising

Encourage students to explore opportunities that enrich their academic experience, through enhancements such as individual research, internships, learning abroad, interdisciplinary studies, and publications.

Design opportunities that challenge students to embrace, and add to, their interests and abilities to become civically engaged, active change agents, and leaders

Provide comprehensive and retention-focused advising to all Honors College students from first year to graduation.

Integrate the goals set forth by the University Diversity Strategic Plan for the Camden Campus:
