Rutgers‒Camden Welcomes New Vice Chancellor for Advancement

Endia DeCordova will join Rutgers University–Camden as vice chancellor for advancement on March 14. She will serve on the Rutgers University Foundation leadership team and direct Rutgers‒Camden’s growing fundraising efforts to identify alumni and other supporters whose gifts will have a lasting impact on faculty, students and the campus.
“Endia is a welcome addition to our community,” says Rutgers–Camden Chancellor Antonio D. Tillis. “By elevating Rutgers–Camden’s advancement efforts, she will lead the university to greater success in fundraising, as well as in our engagement with alumni and supporters throughout New Jersey and across the nation.”
DeCordova will work with Chancellor Tillis to direct, plan and implement capital campaigns. She will advise the chancellor in all matters related to the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of fundraising prospects.
With more than 12 years of experience in institutional advancement in academia and other institutions, DeCordova brings a wealth of knowledge in leadership and community engagement, philanthropy, fundraising, strategic communications, public relations and complex project management to Rutgers–Camden.
DeCordova comes to Rutgers University from the University of Connecticut (UConn) Foundation, where most recently she served as associate vice president for development and strategic initiatives. In this role, she led the development operation for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the largest college at UConn and the provost’s office (and its institutes and centers). She also partnered with the senior vice president to manage strategic initiatives and support campaign planning.
DeCordova holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Hartford and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Morgan State University.

As interim vice chancellor for advancement, Scott marshalled our efforts to secure funding to support our students, faculty, staff, and community despite the extraordinary and challenging circumstances brought on by the pandemic. He did so with an unfailing commitment to the future of Rutgers University–Camden, and I am personally grateful for his help. While Scott has accepted a new role as director of campaign operations with the Rutgers University Foundation, it is gratifying to know that his primary office will remain on our campus and that he will continue to be a valued colleague at Rutgers–Camden."
