Rutgers–Camden Celebrates Commencement 2024 Through Events and Ceremonies
As the semester comes to a close, we are filled with anticipation for the joy and excitement of Commencement. There are many opportunities to celebrate the class of 2024 in the coming weeks. We encourage you to get involved and join us in honoring our graduates.
SCARLET FOREVER: Senior Week
Graduating Students Brunch and Cap Decorating
Tuesday, May 7, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Campus Center Multi-Purpose Room
Stop by for brunch treats, catch up with friends and make new ones, and decorate your cap for Commencement. This event is free and includes an R Alumni swag item.
Rutgers-Camden Graduating Students Day at the Phillies
Wednesday, May 8, 1 p.m.
Citizens Bank Park
Enjoy watching the Phillies play the Blue Jays with your classmates. Your $20 ticket includes your ticket to the game (level 243), a lunch voucher (valued at $18), and an R Alumni swag item. Transportation is not provided. Check in is required in front of the Alumni House (312 Cooper Street) prior to your aquarium visit, between 9:30 a.m. and noon, so you can pick up your R alumni swag item.
An Afternoon at Adventure Aquarium

Now that you’ll be swimming along with your Rutgers-Camden degree soon, come to Adventure Aquarium to celebrate. Your $10 ticket includes your ticket, boxed lunch, and an R Alumni swag item. Check in is required in front of the Alumni House (312 Cooper Street) prior to your aquarium visit, between 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., so you can pick up your R alumni swag item.

Join your peers for Cheers! at the Victor. Your $10 ticket will include heavy appetizers, a drink ticket, an R Alumni swag item, and music.

The Rites of Passage Ceremony is a pre-commencement celebration to honor Black and Hispanic/Latino identified students who, through resolute persistence, have successfully completed an undergraduate or graduate degree at Rutgers University–Camden.
Rutgers University–Camden and Graduate School Commencement

Freedom Mortgage Pavilion
Graduating students in all of Rutgers–Camden’s degree programs are invited to attend this ceremony. The ceremony will feature the conferral of degrees, greetings by University officials, and remarks by a keynote speaker New Jersey Secretary of Higher Education Brian Bridges.
Graduation Picnic
Tuesday, May 14
4 to 6 p.m.
Freedom Mortgage Pavilion
Celebrate with your fellow grads and guests on the banks of the Delaware River on the lawn of the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion. The Graduation picnic will feature food trucks, music and photo opportunities with the Philadelphia skyline, the Ben Franklin Bridge, and the Battleship New Jersey.
School-Specific Commencement Convocations
In addition to the Rutgers–Camden and Graduate School Commencement ceremony, each school hosts a separate ceremony for the students enrolled in that school. During those ceremonies, the student's name will be called, and the student will walk across the stage. Seating is general admission for all ceremonies.
