2010s
Civic engagement, health education, and research growth defined the decade, culminating in national recognition for scholarly excellence and service to veterans.
2010s
Rutgers–Camden doubled down on community impact and research growth. The Office of Civic Engagement launched in 2010, strengthening ties across Camden and the region. The School of Nursing–Camden opened in 2011, expanding clinical and community health initiatives. In 2009, the campus had invested in modern infrastructure with the Athletic and Fitness Center, Law School East, and welcomed Wendell Pritchett as Chancellor (chronologically in late 2000s, influencing 2010s momentum).
Leadership transitioned in 2014 with Phoebe A. Haddon appointed Chancellor—a nationally recognized voice for educational access and equity—later named Chancellor Emerita. The decade culminated in 2018 with Carnegie R2 Classification, recognizing significant research activity and doctoral education.
