In its latest Impact Report to stakeholders, the Rutgers University–Camden Community Leadership Center (CLC) traces its origins and details how three decades of university-community partnership have served as a model of educational equity and achievement both in Camden and beyond. 

Rutgers University–Camden is proud to announce the 2026 cohort of the Chancellor’s Mayoral Internship Program. This year’s cohort—the largest in the program’s history—includes six students from across the university's undergraduate, graduate, law, and dual-degree programs who will spend the summer working alongside city leaders, exploring careers in public service, and strengthening their connection to the Camden community.

Bob Fishman, a New Jersey native and celebrated scholar who taught at Rutgers–Camden for more than a quarter of a century after finishing his doctorate at Harvard University, has made a series of generous gifts to support students where he was once inspired as a young professor.

Rutgers University–Camden hosted the CivicsNJ symposium, drawing together the state’s educators, community leaders, and funders to discuss the future of civics ahead of the nation's 250th anniversary.

Rutgers University–Camden honored Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s enduring legacy last month with the fifth annual “Beyond the Dream” lecture, welcoming two eminent King scholars to discuss how King’s early life and his time in South Jersey as a divinity student laid the foundation for his civil rights leadership.
