RU ID
RU ID
The RU ID card is the official photo identification card issued to faculty, staff, students, and guests on all Rutgers University campuses. This unified RU ID card serves as the primary form of identity verification throughout the University. Whenever students are on campus, their RU ID Card must be on their person and readily available. Generally, an RU ID Card provides access to services such as: events, checkout privileges at Rutgers University Libraries, computer labs and printing services, and the recreation center.

Please refer to the information below to find the appropriate process for your situation:
New and Transfer Students
Welcome to the Raptor Family! Once you have received your Welcome Email Packet, please follow the instructions included in the email to upload your photo for your RUID card. Once uploaded, you should quickly see that it was approved. If not, please resubmit a different photo. Once approved, you will receive your RUID either as part of Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration, or you can pick it up at the IMPACT Booth during normal hours of operation.
New Faculty/Staff
Welcome to the Raptor family! Once your employment record has been activated and you have successfully uploaded a photo for your RUID, please stop by the IMPACT Booth during regular business hours to have your RUID printed. Please allow up to 72 hours for your RUID to show as active. Please call the IMPACT Booth at 856-225-6161 to verify your account is active prior to coming to have it printed. Please note that we are unable to print your RUID if there is not an active status in the RUID system.
Returning Students/Faculty/Staff
If you have lost your RUID, please stop by the IMPACT Booth during regular business hours to have your RUID printed. There is a $20 fee for each lost/replaced RUID that is due at the time of pick-up. Old RUIDs must be returned to the IMPACT Booth. If your RUID breaks or stops working, please bring it with you to the IMPACT Booth for proper disposal
Impact Booth
IMPACT stands for Information, Multimedia, Programming Activities, Cultural events and Tickets. Created to provide campus-wide information to the University community and its guests, this brightly decorated info booth is located in the Camden Campus Center's main lobby.
As the acronym describes, the IMPACT Booth serves 3 main purposes:
- Information and customer services to the campus population and guests,
- Event and ticket sales for students, staff, alumni and guests, and
- Rutgers ID card printing services.
Our IMPACT Booth welcomes all patrons to the Campus Center. As the first line of customer service, our campus population relies heavily on the IMPACT Booth staff to be friendly, approachable and knowledgeable of things happening around the campus.
