Joshua J. Piccoli Scholarship

Established by RU Camden Office of Military & Veterans Affairs (OMVA) Campus Director Fred Davis & fellow student veterans in memory of Joshua J. Piccoli, a 36 year old Marine Corps Veterans & 2nd year Rutgers Law School-Camden student. Josh served in Iraq & Afghanistan (a true warrior) but returned home as a most kind and loving human. Josh worked diligently at the OMVA for 6 years and was always in the ready to assist his fellow veterans.

Jeremy Kane Memorial Scholarship

Established by alumni and friends for Rutgers University–Camden students who are serving in or have honorably served in the Armed Forces, and in memory of Jeremy Kane, a criminal justice student who was killed in Afghanistan in 2010.

Veterans Emergency Fund

Established via Director Fred Davis of the Rutgers Camden Office of Military & Veterans Affairs (OMVA) in collaboration with Alumni veteran Robert N. Losse. The fund was created to assist student veterans experiencing emergency situations. The fund is a temporary loan agreement with the university interest free.

  • Veteran Orientation / Meet & Greet: Welcoming new and returning student vets to campus!
  • Veteran’s Day Observance: Veterans from across the region convene on campus to honor and salute the fallen soldiers of our nation..
  • Speaker Series: Visiting veterans share stories of battle, return to civilization, and more.
  • Group Trips to DC: Visit the nation’s capital and explore all it has to offer.
  • Panels & Discussions:  Various presenters, groups, and open forums are hosted throughout the year.
  • Collaborative Workshops: Working with various offices throughout Student Life, OMVA hosts workshops addressing PTSD & Mental Health, Military Sexual Trauma, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and more.

American Water’s Military Services Group

AWMSG has the honor of maintaining a strong and on-going partnership with the Department of Defense through the Utilities Privatization (UP) Program. Through UP, our contracts allow us to serve as the water and wastewater utility system owner at 17 military installations across the United States. Delivering the fundamental day to day needs of our service men, women, and their families is a great responsibility, and our main priority.
