About OSDFA
The Office of Scholar Development and Fellowship Advising, part of the Division of Student Academic Success, is committed to empowering current and past students in their personal, academic and professional journeys. We encourage students and alumni to achieve their full potential by supporting critical thinking, risk-taking, and experiential learning.
Our team provides strategic planning, advice, and resources for those interested in pursuing graduate education and funded award opportunities that bolster their experiences and self-efficacy. Identifying our students’ interests and goals enables us to contribute to their sense of belonging.
Through holistic and personalized coaching, we provide students with the resources, tools, and opportunities to define success for themselves. We are committed to celebrating Rutgers – Camden students for who they are and amplifying their voices to tell their stories for audiences near and far.

How do these two pieces of our office work in tandem?
Scholar Development
- Assist students in identifying and refining short and long-term goals
- Increase awareness of opportunities that fit students' interests and goals
- Support students' academic journeys by encouraging positive habits, critical thinking, risk taking, and experiential learning.
Mutual Responsibilities
- Encourage participation in high-impact opportunities to strengthen identity and purpose
- Assist in identifying the right fit for students' future (i.e. grad school, medical school, study abroad, fellowship, etc.!)
- Strengthen personal statements and CVs
Fellowship Advising
- Promote funded, experiential learning opportunities
- Provide guidance and support through application process
- Contribute to our students' belief in their ability to achieve their goals and fulfill their full potential
