The Rutgers–Camden AI Campus is a collaborative, project-based learning hub designed to make artificial intelligence accessible, ethical, and impactful. We prepare students, faculty, and the community to lead in an AI-driven world through hands-on projects, interdisciplinary teamwork, and AI literacy.

Position Rutgers-Camden as a model for human-centered AI learning within the National AI Campus network, intersecting data, creativity, AI, and impact.

Build a campus culture of No-Boundary Thinking that connects disciplines, inspires discovery, and strengthens social impact.

Foster Interdisciplinary Collaboration through collaborative mentorship and project learning; the AI Campus builds future researchers, innovators, and leaders.

History

National AI Campus Origin

The National AI Campus began in 2018 at Arkansas State University under the leadership of Dr. Xiuzhen Huang. Built on the philosophy of No-Boundary Thinking, the initiative expanded to over 80 partner institutions across 31 states.

Rutgers-Camden AI Campus

Rutgers-Camden joined the network in 2025, launching its own AI Campus to expand AI literacy, support interdisciplinary research, and strengthen community partnerships across South Jersey and the region.
