Rutgers–Camden Faculty Member Named a Fellow of the National League for Nursing’s Academy of Nursing Education

This prestigious honor recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to advancing excellence in the field of nursing.

Camden, NJ – July 21, 2025: Mary Ann McLaughlin, a clinical associate professor with Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden, is one of 23 distinguished nurse educators nationally who have been selected for the 19th class of fellows for induction into the prestigious National League for Nursing Academy of Nursing Education.

“We are incredibly proud of Dr. McLaughlin on her well-deserved selection as a fellow of the National League for Nursing’s Academy of Nursing Education,” said Donna Nickitas, dean of Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden. “This honor affirms what we at Rutgers–Camden have long recognized—Dr. McLaughlin is a transformative educator and thought leader in our profession. I congratulate her on this outstanding achievement and thank her for her continued leadership and service to nursing education.”

Dr. McLaughlin’s selection as a fellow underscores the profound impact she has had on nursing education, from her scholarship and publications to her work in fostering professional growth in others. Her recent work on ethical nursing practice, inspired by her doctoral research at Teachers College, Columbia University, continues to shape the discourse on integrity and professional responsibility in nursing.

Additionally, her nationally acclaimed book, “Cardiovascular Care Made Incredibly Easy,” demonstrates her ability to translate complex clinical knowledge into engaging, accessible content for learners at all levels. Her teaching philosophy, rooted in creativity, clarity, and compassion, has helped shape the careers of countless nursing professionals.

Dedicated to excellence in nursing, the National League for Nursing (NLN) is the premier organization for nursing faculty and leaders in nursing education.
