Veterans Day Observance
This year’s annual Veterans Day Observance Luncheon will honor student and alumni veterans and present awards of excellence to campus and community partners.
United States Air Force veteran Ralph Galati will address the group as keynote speaker. Galati’s F-4 Phantom jet fighter was shot down in North Vietnam, where he was held captive as a prisoner of war for 14 months. Repatriated in 1973, Galati continued to serve in the Air Force. He was later hired by IBM and completed 28 years of service with the company. Before he retired, Galati founded and led the Office of Veterans Services at Saint Joseph’s University.
