“Can we study policy issues that center race in the 21st century?”

James E. Wright II, MTS, Ph.D. is an associate professor in the School of Public Affairs & School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Arizona State University where his research specializes in race, justice, equity, policing and organizational management. His research has examined the impacts of body cameras on racial disparities in policing, the impacts of providing public access to police misconduct allegations, police officer decision-making during police stops, how physical appearance impacts use of force, and community protests, among other issues. His research has appeared, in the fields leading research journals, including Public Administration Review, Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, Public Management Review, Public Performance Management Review, The American Review of Public AdministrationSocial Science Quarterly and others. 

Robert F. Bailey Memorial Lecture

The Department of Public Policy and Administration celebrates the life and work of Dr. Robert F. Bailey with the annual Robert F. Bailey Memorial Lecture.  Bob Bailey was a cherished member of the Rutgers–Camden Department of Public Policy and Administration. The Bailey Lecture was established to recognize the contributions he made to our students, his colleagues, our campus, and Rutgers University.
