The Following Courses in Art, Music, and Theater Are Being Offered in Fall 2024:

ANIMATION

In this course, you will explore 3D modeling, lighting, and animation techniques ranging from the fundamental ball bounce to character animation. You’ll be introduced to the wide range of possibilities the animation industry has to offer while building your foundations using the latest software such as Maya and Z-Brush. Students will collect their best works into an animation demo reel at the conclusion of the semester.

GRAPHIC DESIGN
This class will allow students to learn graphic skills and construct 2D computer designs, visuals, structures, and systems. This course utilizes Adobe Suite Programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator to create both digital and print works. In addition to learning these skills and techniques, students will study the strategies and contemporary aesthetics being used in the Graphic Design field today. Participants will apply this knowledge to their own art and design practices.

Music Technology and Production is focused on the creative use of computers and synthesizers. You will work with DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) applications doing recording, tracking, sequencing, editing, sampling, and processing as well as working with notational software. Students will be working individually and in groups, experimenting with creating contemporary music using industry-standard software. The primary emphasis of this course is learning professional recording studio production techniques.

FILMMAKING
