The program teaches students to apply quantitative approaches to researching biological systems, critically analyze scientific literature in the field, and skillfully communicate scientific ideas and research results. Students can concentrate in a variety of areas, including developmental biology and cell signaling, structural modeling of proteins, biofuels and sustainable energy, and bioinformatics.
