City of Camden Day of Service

In honor of MLK Day 2024, the City of Camden is hosting a "Unity in Wellness: Bridging Gaps, Building Health" day of service. This event underscores the collective commitment required to address health and wellness disparities within our community. The goal of this project is to unite local resources, healthcare professionals, and anchor institutions to orchestrate a comprehensive event. During the event, residents will have access to vital services, including health screenings, nutrition counseling, and assistance with health insurance enrollment.

The North Camden Community Center will be hosting the MLK Day of Service Health and Wellness Fair from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The day includes a Blood Drive, health screenings, and providing information on health insurance. In addition, there will be a coat drive. (Volunteers are asked to arrive at 9 a.m. to assist with set-up for all of the activities of the day).

Volunteers should plan to assist with the operation of this Health Fair. To ensure smooth operations, some volunteers will be responsible for bagging up the healthy snacks for participants.
