Dear Rutgers University–Camden Faculty and Staff:

I am excited to invite you to two very special events on Thursday, May 9. We will begin the day at 10 a.m. with the groundbreaking ceremony for the greatly anticipated Cooper Street Gateway Project. Join us at the corner of 5^th and Cooper Streets as we celebrate the beginning of a project that will be transformational for our campus and community.
 
Following the groundbreaking ceremony, I invite you to join me for the annual Chancellor's Faculty & Staff Picnic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. We will gather together on the Campus Quad for delicious food, desserts, music, games, and conversation with our colleagues. This free event is for all Rutgers–Camden faculty and non-student staff. Please register online to ensure we order enough food for everyone. When you register, be sure to request your favorite song for the DJ.
 
At Rutgers–Camden, we pride ourselves on community, recognizing that we can only accomplish our goals by working together. As we move towards the close of the spring semester, we welcome an opportunity to relax, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate the accomplishments of our community over this past year.
