A Message on Campus Dining Fees

To the Rutgers University–Camden Community:

As you may be aware, the Rutgers University Board of Governor approved an 11% increase in campus dining fees on July 8, 2024. This was the first increase in Rutgers–Camden dining fees since 2019, and it allows our partner, Gourmet Dining LLC, to contend with rising food and labor costs while still providing an excellent level of service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. 

The fee increase also offsets pandemic-era decreases, which were instituted with the well-being and financial security of our student population at top of mind. A six-year snapshot shows that Rutgers–Camden dining fees have remained competitive and affordable, with price changes staying far below the rate of inflation from 2019 to 2024.
