Program Overview
The Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at Rutgers University–Camden offers students a comprehensive education in the Spanish language, as well as the literatures and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. The program is designed to develop advanced language proficiency and cultural literacy, preparing students to engage meaningfully in a globalized society. Students study a wide range of topics, including Spanish and Latin American literature, linguistics, culture, and film, with courses available from the elementary to advanced levels.
In addition to the major and minor in Spanish, students can pursue a minor in Latin American Studies or follow a BA/MAT pathway to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching Spanish.
