Program Overview
The Bachelor of Arts in English at Rutgers–Camden offers a flexible and interdisciplinary curriculum that prepares students to read, write, and think critically across a range of media and genres. Students begin with “Introduction to English Studies,” which lays the foundation for literary analysis, communication, and media literacy. From there, students choose from courses in literary history, linguistics, communication, rhetoric, film, and writing. The program culminates in a portfolio course where students reflect on their academic journey and showcase their best work.
