Chancellor’s Awards for Staff Excellence

Dear Rutgers University–Camden Community:

Rutgers University–Camden consistently earns high marks for the exceptional service that it provides to students, faculty, alumni, staff and the community.

Our reputation for providing the world-class Rutgers experience in a personalized manner is rooted firmly in the excellence of our employees. Rutgers University–Camden is endowed with committed and creative staff who regularly help faculty and students achieve and surpass their goals.

I am pleased to announce that Rutgers University–Camden once again will present the Chancellor’s Awards for Staff Excellence in Service to employees who provide superior service to members of our campus community and external constituents.

These awards acknowledge individual staff members who consistently exhibit high levels of effective and friendly service, and additionally recognize teams, which can include departments, committees, work groups, and the like.

Nominations

Nominations (including self-nominations) will be accepted through 5 p.m. Friday, April 21. Nominations must acknowledge the following about the nominee(s):

• The nature of the nominee’s sustained service or special one-time contribution to the mission of the unit or campus
• How the nominee exemplifies the mission, vision, and goals of Rutgers University–Camden
• How the nominee demonstrates sustained excellence in the performance of job duties and responsibilities
• How the nominee continually contributes to a positive and collaborative work environment
• What audiences are served by the nominee (e.g., students, faculty, staff, alumni, prospective students, general public)
• How the nominee exhibits exceptional resourcefulness, innovation and/or creativity

In order to be eligible for the award, nominees must be full- or part-time employees on the Rutgers University–Camden campus for at least one year prior to the nomination date. Staff members who work on the Rutgers University–Camden campus and report to central University administrative units also are eligible.

A committee will review the nominations and advise me on their recommendations. The award recipients will be announced in mid-May.
