The Chancellor’s Awards for Staff Excellence in Service

To the Rutgers University–Camden Community:

The Chancellor’s Awards for Staff Excellence in Service are awarded at the end of each fiscal year to staff members who consistently make exceptional contributions to our beloved Camden community, internally and externally.

Nominations of staff members who exhibited excellence in service during the 2023-24 academic year are currently being accepted.

Nomination Criteria

Nominations (including self-nominations) are encouraged and will be accepted through 5 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2024. Nominations must acknowledge the following about the nominee(s) in a comprehensive manner (a minimum of 250 words is recommended) for their exceptional service from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024:

• The nature of the nominee’s sustained service or special one-time contribution to the mission of the unit or campus
• How the nominee encompasses the mission, vision and goals of Rutgers University–Camden
• How are the nominee’s achievements supportive of the Rutgers University–Camden Strategic Plan 2023-2028
• How the nominee demonstrates sustained excellence in the performance of job duties and responsibilities
• How the nominee continually contributes to a positive, collaborative work environment
• What audiences are served by the nominee (students, faculty, staff, alumni, prospective students, general public, etc.)
• How the nominee exhibits exceptional resourcefulness, innovation and/or creativity

Eligibility

Nominees must meet the following eligibility requirements.

• Nominees must be full- or part-time employees from any department on the Rutgers University–Camden campus for at least one year prior to the nomination date
• Staff members who work on the Camden campus and report to central university administrative units are also eligible
• Individual staff members will be considered. Individual staff members should consistently exemplify high levels of effective and friendly service and demonstrate a willingness to work collaboratively to achieve goals.

Selection Process

• Nominations should be submitted online no later than Friday, July 19, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Make a Nomination.
• A committee will review the nominations and advise me of its recommendations.
• The awards will be announced in August 2024.
