Camden, NJ – February 17, 2026: Rutgers University–Camden will present “Runway to Renewal: The Rutgers–Camden Fashion Showcase,” an innovative live performance celebrating the intersection of art, culture, and storytelling on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Campus Center’s Multi-Purpose Room and Main Lounge (326 Penn Street, Camden, NJ 08102).

Headlining the evening is internationally acclaimed fashion designer and Project Runway All-Stars finalist Korto Momolu, who will present her signature culturally inspired designs on the runway.

Known for her bold aesthetic and commitment to honoring her Liberian heritage, Momolu’s creations feature vibrant prints, intricate detailing, and luxurious fabrics that celebrate global craftsmanship and empowerment.

Momolu has gained international recognition for her women’s wear and accessory lines, and has been featured in Elle, Vogue, Marie Claire, Ebony, and Essence. Her work blends tradition and modernity, storytelling and style, making her a powerful voice in contemporary fashion design.

The show will begin with a brand-new, original performance conceived by Margery Amdur, a Philadelphia-based artist and professor of art at Rutgers–Camden. Titled “Wearing the Inside Out,” the immersive presentation reimagines the hospital gown as both garment and metaphor.

Amdur’s interdisciplinary performance will feature recognizable clinical silhouettes—scrub tops, gowns, walker jackets—radically transformed through her signature materials: digitally printed textile strips, stitched wire seams, hand-cut overlays, and translucent layers of journal text written by patients.

Known for her immersive “Felt Narratives” installations, Amdur transforms fragile materials and overlooked objects into reflective sculptural environments that explore themes of vulnerability, memory, identity, and resilience.

While registration is not required, it is recommended.
