Rutgers University–Camden invites you to a powerful evening of fashion, art, and storytelling — a showcase that blends student creativity with visionary design.
This live runway event features Rutgers–Camden students modeling two distinct fashion experiences.
Artist Margery Amdur presents Wearing the Inside Out, a reimagining of the hospital gown as both garment and metaphor. Known for her immersive Felt Narratives installations, Amdur transforms fragile materials and overlooked objects into sculptural environments that explore vulnerability, memory, and reinvention. This new work extends her interdisciplinary practice, turning symbols of medical care into layered expressions of resilience and identity. As Amdur states, “By manifesting what was not initially understood, my work serves as both a mirror and a door.” Her work, supported by a Chancellor’s Grant in collaboration with Professor Sheila Linz of the School of Nursing, bridges Rutgers–Camden’s Year of the Arts 2025 with Philadelphia’s Year of the Arts 2026.
International fashion designer and Project Runway All-Stars finalist Korto Momolu brings bold, culturally inspired looks to the runway. Momolu has gained international acclaim for her women's wear and accessory line that honors her African heritage. Her creations incorporate traditional, luxurious fabrics that reflect her rich cultural background. In addition to the runway experience, she will share inspirational remarks and host a post-show meet-and-greet and fashion sale.
