He hopes to guide future scientists in the lab as a faculty mentor and teach at the university level.
The Barry Goldwater Scholarship Program
This year, reviewers selected scholars from a pool of 1,350 outstanding undergraduates nominated by 445 institutions. Named as a living memorial to honor the lifetime work of U.S. Senator Barry Goldwater, the Goldwater Scholarship Program was established in 1986 to identify, encourage, and financially support outstanding undergraduates interested in pursuing research careers in the sciences, engineering, and mathematics and is the preeminent undergraduate award of its type in these fields.
