Kenneth Elliott

Kenneth Elliott is a notable theatre director and co-founder of Theatre-in-Limbo, known for his work on Off-Broadway productions, including the acclaimed Devil Boys from Beyond, which won the Outstanding Play Award at the 2009 New York International Fringe Festival. His directing credits encompass significant revivals and original productions of comedies by Charles Busch, including Psycho Beach Party and Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, which became the longest-running non-musical Off-Broadway show. Elliott has also directed various plays in New York and Los Angeles, and he has regional theatre experience across several major venues. He holds a B.S. and M.A. in theatre from Northwestern University and a Ph.D. from UCLA, where he has taught before joining Rutgers. His academic contributions include published essays in theatre journals, and he has directed numerous university productions.

ZoomOnArt Program

The Rutgers–Camden Department of Visual, Media, and Performing Arts becomes a central hub for interactive, online conversations with nationally and internationally renowned artists during its “ZoomOnArt” program. Artists who are luminaries in their fields Zoom in from other parts of the country and globe. They share with us images or video shorts of their work and answer questions, and the audience gets an opportunity to direct the discussion.
