Program Overview

The Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies at Rutgers University–Camden is an interdisciplinary program that examines the histories, cultures, and lived experiences of people of African descent worldwide. Drawing on the methods of the social sciences and humanities, the program explores Africa, the African diaspora, and African American, Caribbean, and global communities through the lenses of politics, culture, economics, and social change.
