Year of the Arts: Dr. Ellie Irons Feral Hues Workshop

Alongside paintings, drawings, and a prompt for “vegetal attunement,” workshop attendees will find a step-by-step guide to making watercolor paints from foraged plant parts, and a color chart of the various “feral hues” the process produces. 

This Spring Semester, the Biology Department and the Visual, Media, and Performing Arts Department (VMPA) received the “Year of the Arts Award Grant” to bring artist Dr. Ellie Irons to Campus the week of April 14th. While the Visiting Artist at RU-Camden, Dr. Irons will be doing workshops, lectures, and activities in Camden that highlight Art and Science Collaboration (Art/Sci), which is a new field of art-making that focuses on the tropes, tools, research, and communication practices found in the sciences.
