The program in Africana Studies provides students with a sound understanding of the black experience nationally and internationally, while focusing on North America. The interdisciplinary features of the program allow for a broad and varied exposure to black culture, economics, politics, and history from Africa to the Americas.

The European Studies minor offers students a wide variety of ways in which they can gain recognition for learning about a diverse, fascinating, and important part of our world.

The first of its kind in the region, Gender Studies at Rutgers–Camden advances education with an interdisciplinary curriculum, research, campus programming, and community outreach. Combining men’s studies, women’s studies, and queer studies, Gender Studies at Rutgers–Camden offers students a special focus on diverse human experiences across many fields of study, including anthropology, childhood studies, criminal justice, English, fine arts, foreign languages, health sciences, history, philosophy, psychology, religion, social work, and sociology. Gender studies is about everyone and relevant to all academic disciplines and fields of work.

The Latin American Studies program explores the diverse region that stretches from the Mexican border to the tip of Tierra del Fuego. This minor complements major programs in Spanish language and literature, history, business, economics, sociology, anthropology, political science, art or other disciplines.
