About the Admissions Process
Rutgers University–Camden has a separate admissions process for each of Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden's academic programs. We ask prospective students to review the admissions requirements that matches the academic program they wish to pursue.
Undergraduate Applicants
Undergraduate applicants may choose from three paths into our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program:
- Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, with internal and external transfer student options.
- Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, a fast-track into nursing for non-nursing degree holders.
- RN-to-Bachelor of Science in Nursing program for licensed nurses seeking to advance their education.
Graduate Applicants
Doctor of Nursing Practice
Graduate applicants interested in our Doctor of Nursing Practice program are ready practice at the highest level of their education as doctorally-prepared nurse practitioners (NPs). Our program includes a dual-degree DNP/MBA track and three Nurse Practitioner tracks:
- Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
- Family Nurse Practitioner
- Post-master's option for nurse practitioners
DNP program features three dedicated Nurse Practitioner tracks. Students can apply for Fall, Spring, or Summer semesters. Apply Now.
Nurse Practitioner tracks

School Nurse Specialty Program
School Nurse Program allows students to apply for Fall, Spring, or Summer semesters. Apply Now.
- Note: most of the certificate courses are currently offered over the summer semester.
Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Certification
Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Education Program (WOCNEP) starts only in the fall semester. Apply to the WOCNEP program.
- WOCNEP is a total of 13 graduate credits.
- Students must start with WOC Nursing I in the fall semester.
Nurse Education Certificate Program
Apply to the Post Masters Nurse Educator Certificate Program.
Professional Applicants
Professional applicants who are licensed, registered nurses and wish to focus on a specialty career may choose from several certification programs:
- School Nurse Certification - Trains nurses to better address the complex and increasingly demanding health needs of students and their communities within the state.
- Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Certification - Our highly-regarded program is a stand-alone graduate nursing certificate recognized by the American Nurses Association and accredited by the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Society.
- Post Masters Nurse Educator Certificate Program - This program is a total of 12 graduate credits. Students can take two classes in the fall semester and two classes in the spring semester.
